Applied Behavior Analysis

What Is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-based approach that helps children and teens with Autism build meaningful skills and reduce challenging behaviors. By focusing on how behavior works and what influences it, ABA therapy supports learning in areas like communication, social interaction, daily living, and emotional regulation.

Our ABA programs are personalized to each child’s needs, strengths, and goals. Through positive reinforcement and consistent support, we help children gain confidence, independence, and a greater ability to thrive at home, at school, and in the community.

At HomesteadABA, we believe in working closely with family to support the child in developing social and communication skills needed to thrive in their home, school, and community. We target skills for reduction including self-injurious behaviors, aggression toward others, property damage, eloping or running away, and more. By teaching the necessary communication skills to replace these inappropriate and sometimes dangerous behaviors, children learn to enjoy interacting with their family, learn to make and keep friends, and develop skills to cope with the stressors of school and community expectations.
